Strum down, up, down on each group of three, so every group starts with a downstroke. The second bar ends with a long note and a short one, a common way to end a jig phrase.

Moves the whole rhythm earlier or later. Half a beat is an eighth note and a quarter beat is a sixteenth. Notes pushed past the end wrap around to the start.

Play the rhythm on a single note until it feels easy. Get the timing right before you think about pitches.

Sing or scat the rhythm along with the click. Once you can sing it in time, it's much easier to play.

Keep the rhythm and only use notes from the chord. Then try the scale, then add some chromatic notes.
